The 2016 Queensland Open and Veteran State Championships will be held on Saturday 8 October at Yeronga SHS, Brisbane.

Entry to each event is $35 and should be made through the online payment system. Entries made by Friday 7 October have a discounted price of $30. Entries to the Veteran competitions are $25, or participants pay a single fee of $45 for both the Open and Veteran event in a single weapon. All fencers will need to be members of the Queensland Fencing Association in order to register (although Interstate or International competitors are welcome - please contact admin@qfa.org.au to register).

 

To participate in multiple events, please complete a separate registration for each event.


The start times for each event are listed below. Please note that the Veteran event will be running concurrently with the Open events, so it will not be possible to fence in both Open and Veteran events in all weapons. 

Open Women's Foil - 7:30 am
Open Men's Foil -  7:30 am
Veteran Sabre - 7:30 am
Veteran Epee - 10:00 am
Open Women's Sabre - 11:30 am
Open Men's Sabre - 12:00 pm
Open Women's Epee - 2:00 pm
Open Men's Epee - 2:30 pm
Veteran Foil - 2:30 pm
 

Fencers need to be there at least 15 minutes before the start time to get ready. Competitions are fenced using full electric equipment, including conductive foil masks. Medalists will need a tracksuit jacket or fencing whites for presentations.
