Escalation & remediation: In conversation with seasoned crisis communication leaders
Tuesday 13 September, 6pm-8.30pm
At some stage in every professional communicator’s career, they’re going to have that sinking feeling when staring a crisis in the face, either within their own or their client’s organisation.
As daunting as the task may be, that sinking feeling is an opportunity as a communication expert to stand up and stablise the organisation, preserve relationships with customers, employees and stakeholders and by doing so, protect the organisation’s reputation.
This September, IABC Victoria is taking on crisis communication; the highs and lows of navigating close calls, mishaps, and full blown disasters. Hearing from a range of seasoned crisis communication professionals, this event will explore strategies that can be implemented in your organisation today to plan for crisis and remain calm, cool and collected when implementing a crisis response.
Through conversation, our experts will delve into what makes crisis communication leaders make the decisions they do, how they manage the online environment, establish authority and earn the trust and support of stakeholders to make decisions that are impactful.
We’ll explore the challenges of managing crisis in highly regulated environments how crisis communication leaders take on the task of gaining the trust of decision makers, who often have a lot to lose and last but not least, we’ll discuss the process of beginning again, building new perspectives after the dust has settled and rebuilding strong stakeholder relationships
This event is brought to you by the good people at Donkey Wheel House, a Kinfolk business.
