Biometric Vest by Perth Integrated Health

Introduction

The Biometric Vest Sports Medicine program is now operational and participants are invited to purchase their very own Biometric Vest + Transmitter.

The Biometric Vest inaugural program is a joint venture driven specifically by Perth Integrated Health’s Sports Medicine Team in concert with the Information Technology experts from Oakton – a Dimension Data company.    This is an exciting time because you are the first to be involved with the Biometric technology which allows the following to be achieved:

1. Owning a Biometric Vest and a Transmitter which communicates seamlessly at the present time with Garmin and Polar devices and well as the Strava aApp.
2. Wearing a Biometric Vest that in itself provides for ECG / Pulse Reading / Posture and Exercise Intensity.  The latter is directly linked to your individualised Heart Rate threshold measured.
3. Interfacing all of this data together with your own unique Dashboard which your Sports Medicine practitioner will be able to monitor and work with you when required.
4. Establishment of safety parameters by which you can operate your exercise and fitness programs whereby our Medical Analyst will be able to detect and alert you if you are exceeding these thresholds.

Once purchased the Biometric Sports Medicine platform then allows the following:

1. Sports Medicine practitioners will be able to monitor performance in real time when required via the Live Tracker systems;
2. The same Live Tracking capacity of the Transmitter technology and training will involve Coaches of various sports where they can then specifically use the data in concert with the monitoring mechanisms of a sports medicine team.
3. The Dashboard will also have an evolutionary platform where the following can be tracked:

(1)    Multiple sports

(2)    Creation of a Mesocycle training program

(3)    Creation of a specific training program on-line together with the athlete and the data collated

Some aspects of the ground breaking technology:

1. The Biometric Vest has inbuilt sensors within the fabric which utilise current cutting edge nanotechnology to transmit the various fields of data that we have designed.
2. There is expectation that the field of data will in time be expanded and also specifically tailor made if required for the requirements of specific sports.
3. The Transmitter has an industry leading battery life of 40 hours which is far longer than most wrist based and phone based devices. Both Apple and Android phones are supported.
4. It uses the latest Bluetooth technology to interface with your phone and the enabling of Live Tracker will mean that transmission of data can take place in real time or via Wi-Fi if data is to be synchronised after the training session or activity.

There are enormous implications being part of this program and this is what we are able to offer you two levels of Sports Medicine Analytics that you are able to subscribe to.  The two levels indicated reflect the level of sports medicine support and this subscription based system is over a 6 month or 12 month period with renewals applicable at the end of each nominated period.

Participants of this program who are Australian residents with private health cover will also receive a monthly subscription notice which they will be able to redeem off their appropriate private health cover.
