2016 Qld Canoe Marathon School Championships

• Close MIDNIGHT Friday 12 August 2016 - no entries will be accepted on the day
• Total fee will be $25 (AC Members) or $30 (Non-members) per person and includes entry to 2 races (one single and one double).
• To receive the QC/AC member discount, you must by a 2016-2017 financial member. On registration, a check is done against the membership database. Please contact Michelle at QC if you have any queries about your membership. 
• If you wish to register for two races, please complete the registration for the first race and pay. On the summary page, select "Add another Registration". This will take you back to the registration page, enter your child's name and details again and then select 'second registration'. You will not be charged for the second registration. 

The age you are as of 1st January 2016 determines your age group. e.g. if you are 13 as of 01/01/16 and turning 14 in 2016, you are in the under 14 age group. 

To compete in the open event you need to be under 18 years of age.

NOTE: Depending on number of entries, age groups may be amalgamated.

• Championships conducted under ICF & AC Marathon Racing Regulation and Guidelines.
• All competitors under 14yrs and any non-swimmers must wear a Type 2 life jacket. 
• Other paddlers can be directed by race officials to wear a PFD depending on conditions. 
• Others wear a life jacket in accordance with their school requirements.
• All craft must have adequate fixed buoyancy or be constructed of a material that will have it float horizontally when full of water.
• Protective footwear should be worn.
• Students must race in school colours.
• Novice class: Mini K1 Under 11 and 12 only
