Perth Integrated Health will be providing clinical services to all athletes competing in the Grand Fondo World Series.
The different services that we will be offering and cost per service are:
$60 for 15 mins for Soft Tissue Treatment
$80 for 1 hour Thermal Blanket
$60 for 30 min Massage
$80 Foam Rolling including one Dual Ball roller
$30 Taping including 1 metre of tape
$120 Initial nutrition cost
$200 Bike Ergonomic Assessments
Definition:
1. Soft Tissue refers to neuromuscular treatment provided by tertiary trained health professionals who are sports medicine trained. This includes but not restricted to spinal muscular care, joint, ligament, tendon and muscle based treatment techniques.
2. Thermal Blanket refers to the use of Far Infrared silicon blankets where the patient is wrapped depending on the presenting condition and clinical need. Suitable for those with underlying chronic conditions and those who require rapid recovery
3. Massage refers to sports massage provided by tertiary trained health professionals
4. Foam rolling refers to the use of the German based roller called Blackroll by which patients are dispensed with a dual ball Blackroll and also taught techniques for application and fascia / muscle release. Perth Integrated Health is the Clinical Advisory clinical for Blackroll Australia nationally
5. Taping refers to the use of Rocktape as the dynamic tape for sports based conditions as well as for strengthening. Perth Integrated Health also houses the first Roc Doc for Rocktape Australia
6. Nutrition refers to the clinical consultation provided by our Sports Nutritionist who is nationally accredited and previously also with the Australian Institute of Sport
7. Bike Ergonomics Fitting and Assessment refers to the professional set up of a time trial or road bike by The Bike Ergonomist who is also the Director for Sports Medicine Australia (WA) as well as a National qualified Cycling Coach and Medical Classifier for Cycling Australia
