SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

INDEMNITY
MOTORCYCLE RACING IS DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN INJURY TO COMPETITORS AND DAMAGE TO MACHINERY
These supplementary regulations are important documents, which affect your legal rights and obligations. Read these documents carefully and do not enter for this competition unless you are completely satisfied that you understand the contents and agree to be bound by them.

This event will be held under lights and on a short-course circuit.
The circuit will be designed to keep racing close and exciting.
1. ANNOUNCEMENT & JURISDICTION
The Coastal Motorcycle Club, known as the PROMOTER, will conduct the meeting in accordance with the GENERAL COMPETITION RULES OF MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA, these supplementary regulations & any additions or amendments approved by MWA. The above mentioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling Western Australia which has issued a Motorcycling Australia permit for a Special Interclub and is open to all Junior Competition licence holders. One Event Licences will also be available.
OFFICIALS
Officials are appointed with the approval of MWA. Control will be under the Clerk of Course with the supervision from the Steward/s of the meeting who reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel all or part of the event program if required, without notice. The Steward is appointed by MWA.

2.2. EVENTS (Race Order may change once entries have been received)
50cc Demo Riders will have their first race during practice.
1. 50cc solo (Demo) 4 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
2. 50cc solo (Auto) 4 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
3. 65cc 7-u12 yrs 5 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
4. 85cc/150cc 12-u16 yrs 6 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
5. 85cc/150cc 9-u12 yrs 6 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
6. 100-125cc 2 stroke 13-u16 yrs 8 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
7. 128-150cc 2str/200-250cc 4 str 13-u16 yrs 8 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
8. Quads up to 90cc 2str/125cc 4stroke 8-U12 5 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
9. Quads up to 200cc 2str/300cc 4 stroke 12-U16 5 laps 3 rounds (time permitting)
3. MINIMUM / MAXIMUM RIDERS
The maximum number of entries that will be accepted per class is 22 riders except Quads which will be a maximum of 11. The minimum number of entries to constitute a class is 8 riders for solo and 5 riders for quads. Classes may be altered to suit entries received.
4. ENTRY FEES AND CONDITIONS
4.1. CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES - Entries will officially close at midnight on Sunday 14th February 2016.
Late entries may be accepted after this date, but participant’s name will not appear in the program.
Junior riders must have a log book to demonstrate their level of competency endorsement to be eligible for a one event licence. The rider must also be a member of an MWA affiliated club. CMCC will offer one meeting membership for a fee of $20.This membership is only valid for the Junior Summercross event. Demo class may ride with annual recreational licence.
4.2. ENTRY FEES
Junior Riders $60.00 per class
Family Rates $60.00 – first junior rider $40.00 - second junior rider $30.00 – third junior rider
$30.00 – extra class Demo class - $20.00 Transponder fee $15 (not 50cc demo)
One event licence $60 (must have endorsed log book) One day membership $20
Extra machine will be allowed but the machine must go through machine examination in the time specified.
Sponsors names will be accepted. Sponsors will be shown next to a rider’s name in the program at the promoter’s discretion.
4.3. REFUNDS
Refunds will only be given in the event of illness. Notice of 24 hours will need to be given to the Race Secretary and a medical certificate will need to be provided. $10.00 will be retained to cover administration costs.
No refunds will be given for mechanical breakdown or change of mind.
4.4. HOW TO ENTER

5.5 JUNIOR RIDERS PLUS 2 ADULTS WILL BE ADMITTED FREE OF CHARGE FROM THE GATE LIST ON THE DAY – PASSES WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
5. MACHINE EXAMINATION
Pits will open at 4.00 pm
Machine examination from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm
All competitors must present themselves with their MA license and full riding gear for inspection.
Any machine not presented with all of the above requirements will be rejected!
ALL MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GCR’s. Junior riders must be wearing their helmet at machine examination.
Machines may be measured, bore & stroke. The Steward will be responsible for the decision to measure machines that day. Any machine may be measured at the request of the Steward or under protest.

6. TRANSPONDERS
Transponders will be compulsory at this meeting except for 50cc demonstration class.A $5.00 administration fee will be charged for riders with their own transponder on behalf of MWA. It is compulsory to have purchased and fitted a transponder bracket prior to this meeting. Transponder brackets are available for purchase for $15.00 through MWA. You must supply your own cable ties. Condition of entry:
- When a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it is the competitor’s responsibility for any repairs or replacement cost of the transmitter if damaged or lost.
- It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted correctly, and securely to prevent damage from fouling other components on the machine.
- It is the competitor's responsibility transponders are returned in good condition at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the machine leaves the pit area. Competitors WILL be fined $50 for not returning transponders on the day.
- Transponders must be returned to the designated person as advised at the riders briefing.
- For transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated person, in addition to the $50 fee, the hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at the MWA office. This includes while in transit with Australia Post and by Courier. No excuse will be entertained for non-delivery. It is recommended transponders be hand-delivered.
- Transponders must be fitted for the practice session on the event day.
7. RACE CONDITIONS
The promoters reserve the right to postpone, cancel or change the program if necessary with MWA approval prior to the meeting or with permission from the Steward on the day of the meeting. Control will be under the Clerk Of Course with supervision from the Steward whose interpretation shall be binding and is FINAL.
7.1. RIDERS MEETING
A riders meeting will be held at 5.31pm. All riders must attend.
7.2. PRACTICE
Practice will commence immediately after the riders meeting for all capacity classes. Minimum 2 laps (time permitting).
Practice will also be a held on SATURDAY 13TH FEBRUARY prior to the event for JUNIORS and SENIORS from 4.00pm until 10.00pm at a cost of $20.00 per rider entered ($15.00 for second/third rider in family). A cost of $40.00 will apply to those not entered. Pits will open at 3pm for sign-on.
7.3. START METHOD
Self-penalising drop gates. Clutch start.
1. 15 second board displayed to all riders for full 15 seconds
2. At the end of 15 sec a 5-sec board will be displayed.
3. The gate will drop 5 seconds after the 5-sec board is shown.
Riders to be in start gates for the next race as soon as practical.
Dead motors in the starting area.
Gate positions will be drawn by peg-pick for the first round of racing. For subsequent rounds gate positions will be determined by the results of the previous race.
Only authorised officials will be permitted on the starting line.
7.4. FINISH METHOD
‘Last lap’ board will be displayed to the riders indicating when one lap remains. The chequered flag will be displayed to indicate the race is finished.
7.5. CHANGE OF MACHINE
A change of machine is permitted as per GCR’s on the condition that written notification is in the hands of the Clerk of Course at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the race which the substitution is to be made and the replacement machine must have been examined and passed at machine examination. Machine must be of the same capacity. Change of Bike forms are provided in the event program.
7.6. PROTESTS
All protests shall be in writing and accompanied by a fee of $70.00 (refer GCR’s)
The right to protest lies only with the rider, who should indicate prior to leaving the circuit that they wish to lodge an official protest by use of the purple protest flag and/or an official at the exit point of the race circuit.
8. AWARDS
8.1. Juniors
Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters in each class at the end of evening presentation, providing there are a minimum of 5 entries per grade received. If there are less than 5, then the classes may be combined. When two classes are combined (due to low number of entries) prizes are awarded at the discretion of the promoter.
9. FIRST AID
First Aid personnel will be in attendance.
It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aiders. The Steward of the day has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first aide requirements are not adhered to.
9.1. Injuries
Riders transported to hospital must obtain a medical clearance which is to be produced on demand at the next race
meeting.
9.2. Ambulance Cover
All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence. Cover must be maintained
for the duration of your licence.
10. PARENT PARTICIPATION
Riders who intend to practice or participate must be accompanied by a person over 16 years old who may be required to do flag marshal duty if called upon to do so. A flag roster will be drawn up prior to the event and emailed to each Participant. The Steward/s of the meeting reserve/s the right to withdraw any rider of the event if the nominated person refuses to carry out such duties without showing just cause. Persons required to do flag duties must sign on at machine examination. If you do not sign on your rider will be excluded from practice and competition unless just cause can be proven to the Steward of the day.
11. NO HASSLE POLICY
As per GCRs.
12. RIGHT TO USE IMAGE
It is a condition of entry that consent is given by the entrant/rider and/or parent/guardian for all photographs and electronic images (including moving images) that may be taken during the event by or on behalf of the Promoter, or with permission of the Promoter. All such images are the property of the Promoter and will only be used in accordance with the Motorcycling Australia Member Protection Policy and for the purposes of promotional or other purposes without further consent being required.
13. GENERAL RULES
13.1. No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.
13.2. NO BYO alcohol. Vehicles will be checked on entrance.
13.3. There will be no riding of bikes other than on the track.
13.4. Machines must be pushed to and from vehicles and in and out of the pits. Engine may be running to assist.
13.5. Dogs will not be permitted (except guide dogs).
13.6. Enclosed footwear must be worn in the pits at all times.
13.7. NO pushbikes, mini-bikes, recreational quads or scooters permitted within the pits.
13.8. Vehicles may be checked when leaving premises – this is to ensure bikes are with their owners.
