INTRO:
The Warburton / Lake Mountain Classic is always an excellent day's riding in this scenic region. As always we will have fine food support at our riverside Warby checkpoint with minestrone soup the main course and master chef Gavan McCarthy on the ladle (and occasionally on the ukelele!). All riders and their entourages are encouraged to linger after they finish to socialise and tell tall tales of cycling audaciousness.
COST: $20 Audax & CA members / $30 non members
RIDE NUMBERS: 70 total riders maximum
KEY POINTS:
• There are 5 different rides. All have the first 70km to Lake Mountain in common.
• 3 rides are entirely on sealed roads.
• 2 rides feature 15km of dirt road, aka 'mixed terrain'.
• These are challenging rides with significant climbing.
• When registering indicate which ride you intend to do. If you change
your mind later and decide to do one of the other rides that will be fine.
SUPPORT:
• We provide plenty of food & drink at Warburton Ride Central.
• There are shops and cafes at the Lake Mountain, Marysville, Buxton and Warburton checkpoints.
• Mt Donna Buang checkpoint has water only.

Sealed Road Rides:
• • 200km Road - Starts
in Warburton and goes to Reefton, Cambarville and onto Lake Mountain.
Then to Marysville and Buxton. Retrace steps to Marysville. Then return
directly to Warburton (bypassing Lake Mtn turnoff) before ascending
Donna Buang & returning to Warburton. 4000 metres of climbing, approx.
• • 150km Road
- Starts in Warburton and goes to Reefton, Cambarville and onto Lake
Mountain. Then retraces route back to Warburton. Then ascends Donna
Buang & returns to Warburton. 2800 metres of climbing, approx.
• • 120km Road - Starts in Warburton and goes to Reefton, Cambarville and onto Lake Mountain. Then retraces route back to Warburton. 1700 metres of climbing, approx.
Mixed Terrain Rides:
• • 150km Mixed Terrain (via Acheron Way) - (NOTE: Includes 15km of dirt road). Starts
in Warburton and goes to Reefton, Cambarville and onto Lake
Mountain. Then to Marysville and onto Narbethong where you ascend the
Acheron Way to the Donna Buang summit before descending to Warburton. 2800 metres of climbing, approx.
• • 125km Mixed Terrain (via Acheron Way) - (NOTE: Includes 15km of dirt road). Starts
in Warburton and goes to Reefton, Cambarville and onto Lake
Mountain. Then to Marysville and onto Narbethong where you ascend the
Acheron Way to Cement Creek. Then descend to Warburton. 1700 metres of climbing, approx.
VOUCHER
If you wish to enter this ride using a Ride Organisers Voucher, enter the code “Voucher” when requested for the Promotion Code.
The voucher must be presented to the ride organiser at registration or the full ride fee will be charged.

Cycling Australia members who are not a member of Audax Australia can enter this ride at the Audax members price.
The code “CA” is to be entered when requested for the Promotion Code
