DANGEROUS AND CAN RESULT IN INJURY TO COMPETITORS AND DAMAGE TO MACHINERY
These supplementary
regulations and attached entry form are important documents, which affect
your legal rights and obligations. Read these documents carefully and do not
sign the ENTRY FORM for this competition unless you are completely satisfied
that you understand the contents and
agree to be bound by them.

1. ANNOUNCEMENT & JURISDICTION
The Wanneroo Junior Motocross Club, known as
the PROMOTER, will conduct the meeting in accordance with the GENERAL
COMPETITION RULES OF MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA (GCR’s), these supplementary
regulations & any additions or amendments approved by MWA. By entering this
meeting all parties agree to comply with these rules, regulations, by-laws and
instructions. This meeting will be open to all Annual Licence holders and One
event Licences will be available.
2. OFFICIALS
Officials are appointed with the approval of
MWA. Control will be under the Clerk of Course with the supervision from the
Steward/s of the meeting who reserve the right to alter, postpone or cancel all
or part of the event program if required, without notice.

4. MINIMUM / MAXIMUM RIDERS
The maximum number of entries that will be
accepted per class is 40 riders except Quads which shall be 20 as per GCR’s
The minimum number of entries to constitute a
class is 4 riders. Classes may be altered and/or combined to suit entries
received. (scored separately). Should the minimum number of any class be
insufficient, the decision to run or
cancel the class and re-distribute any awards and/or prize money will be at the
discretion of the Steward.
5. ENTRY FEES AND CONDITIONS
5.1. CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES
Entries must be received 7 days prior to
the event (18th October.) There will be NO entries on the day.
*If no MWA Licence is held you can purchase a
one event license for $60 but you must hold a club membership for a WA Club-
(WJMC will offer Back To Wanneroo One Meeting Membership for a fee of $5, this
is only valid for the Back to Wanneroo Reunion race day).
Junior riders (under 16 years) must have a log
book to demonstrate their level of competency endorsement as the GCR's rule 3.8
through 3.8.0.10 to be eligible for a One Meeting Licence.

5.3. ADDRESS FOR ENTRIES

on online via Register Now, no entries will not be available on the day:
MACHINE
EXAMINATION
Pits will open 5.30am
Machine
examination from 6.00am to 7.00am. NO MACHINES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS
TIME, unless permission is given by the Clerk of Course. Machines entered in
the competition must have successfully passed a machine examination prior to
taking part in practice, qualifying or racing.
All competitors must present themselves with
their MWA license, proof of current club membership, Full Riding Gear for
inspection. All juniors must show log book.
Any machine not presented with all of the above
requirements will be rejected!
ALL
MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GCR’s.
The
Steward will be responsible for the decision to measure machines that day. Any
machine may be measured at the request of the Steward or under protest
6. NOISE TESTING
Noise testing may take place at any time at the
discretion of the Chief Scrutineer or the Clerk of Course. Refer to GCR 12.10 for details
7. TRANSPONDERS
Transponders
will be compulsory at this meeting, except for 50cc Demonstration Class.
Transponders can be purchased through MWA, or hired for $15.00 ($10 hire fee
plus $5.00 Administration Fee) per day Riders with their own transponder will
be charge the $5.00 Administration Fee only.
It
is compulsory to have purchased and fitted a transponder bracket prior to this
meeting. Transponder brackets are available for purchase for $15.00 through
MWA.
You must
supply your own cable ties.
Condition of entry:
·
When
a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it is the competitor’s
responsibility for any repairs or replacement cost of the transmitter if
damaged or lost.
·
It
is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted
correctly, and securely to prevent damage from fouling other components on the
machine.
·
It
is the competitor's responsibility transponders are returned in good condition
at the end of the event, or if due to machine failure or injury before the
machine leaves the pit area. Competitors
WILL be fined $50 for not returning transponders on the day.
·
Transponders
must be returned to the designated person as advised at the riders briefing.
·
For
transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated
person, in addition to the $50 fee, the hirer is responsible for the transponder
until it arrives back at the MWA office. This includes while in transit with
Australia Post and by Courier. No excuse will be entertained for non-delivery.
It is recommended transponders be hand-delivered.
·
Transponders
must be fitted for all practice sessions.
NOTE: The onus is on guardian/rider to ensure
transponders are on machines prior to each event.

8. RACE CONDITIONS
The promoters reserve the right to postpone,
cancel or change the program if necessary with MWA approval prior to the
meeting or with permission from the Steward on the day of the meeting. Control
will be under the Clerk Of Course with supervision from the Steward
8.1. RIDERS MEETING
A riders meeting will be held 7.30am. All
riders and parents must attend.
8.2. PRACTICE
Practice
will commence immediately after Riders Meeting. 2 Laps per class, some classes
will be combined.
Riders will
only have one (1) practice each, except for those riding two (2) separate
capacity machines or classes. Practice is 2 Laps for all classes if time
permits. Practice classes may be
combined. Practice Starts will not be permitted; riders must leave the
track via the pit return or as directed by the Clerk of Course.
8.3. START METHOD
Self-penalising drop gates. Clutch start.
1.

second board displayed to all riders for full 15 seconds
2.
At
the end of 15 sec a 5-sec board will be displayed.
3.
The
gate will drop between 5 and 10 seconds after the 5-sec board is shown.
Riders to be in start gates for the next race
as soon as practical.
Dead motors in the starting area.
Gate positions will be drawn by ballot by the
rider on the day.
Only authorized officials will be permitted on the
starting line.
8.4. FINISH METHOD
A one-lap board will be displayed to the riders
indicating when one lap remains. The chequered flag is displayed to signal the
race is finished.
8.5. CHANGE OF MACHINE
A change of machine is permitted as per GCR’s
on the condition that written notification must be in the hands
of the Clerk of the Course at least 10 minutes prior to the race in which the
substitution is to be made and further, that the replacement machine must have
been correctly entered, examined and passed at machine examination. Machine
change must be of the same capacity.
8.6. PROTESTS
All
protests shall be in writing and accompanied by a fee of $70.00 and given to
the Clerk of Course prior to the designated time. (Refer GCR’s).
The right to protest lies only with the rider,
who should indicate prior to leaving the circuit that they wish to lodge an
official protest by use of the purple protest flag for Juniors and/or an
official at the exit point of the race circuit.
9. AWARDS
Trophies will be awarded
for 1st , 2nd and 3rd in each class. Each rider in Demonstration class will
receive a trophy for participation.
10. FIRST AID
Medic Aid personnel will be in attendance.
It is a condition of
entry that First Aid MUST be
accepted wherever deemed necessary by the attending first aid personnel. The
Steward of the day has the right to refuse further racing of a rider if first
aid requirements are not adhered to.
10.1.1. Injuries
Riders
transported to hospital must obtain a medical clearance which must be submitted
to MWA prior to participating at further race or practice meetings. It is
advised to carry a copy which may need to is to be produced on demand at the
next race meeting.
10.1.2.
Ambulance Cover
All riders
are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence.
Cover must be maintained for the duration of your licence.
11. PARENT/VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION
Riders who intend to practice or participate
must provide a volunteer to do flag marshal duty if called upon to do so. For riders who can not supply a flag
marshal a $30 Flag Fee will apply to be paid prior to event (optional item on
registration via Register Now). The Steward/s of the meeting reserves the
right to withdraw any rider of the event if the parent or nominated person refuses
to carry out such duties without showing just cause.
11.1.1. Flags
Parents/guardians or
volunteers who are called upon to do flag duties must sign on at machine
examination. If you do not sign on your rider will be excluded from practice
and competition unless just cause can be proven to the Steward of the day.
12. CROSSING THE CIRCUIT
Competitors
are reminded that crossing the circuit during practice or racing is strictly
prohibited, unless permission has been given by the Clerk of Course.
13. RIDING NUMBERS
All
seeded WA riders must ride with their allocated race numbers.
All
number plates on all machines MUST comply with the GCRs and must not contain
any decals or advertising other than the required MA decal.
14. ANTI-DOPING POLICY
All
competitors and officials are advised that drug testing may take place in
accordance with MA’s Anti-Doping Policy, as carried out by the Australian
Sports Anti-Doping Authority. Refer to
GCR 11 for details.
If
any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors contact
the Drugs in Sport Hotline, tel 1800 020 506.
When drug testing takes place, AWARDS may be delayed at MWA’s discretion
until the results of the tests are known.
15.
ALCOHOL TESTING
PROCEDURES
All
competitors and officials are advised that random breath-testing may take place
during the competition. Refer to GCR 11 for details.
16.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All
competitors, officials and parents are reminded of MA’s Code of Conduct
contained within MA’s Member Protection Regulations, found at www.ma.org.au or Appendix 3 of the
GCR, which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all motorcycle race meetings.
This Code of Conduct applies to this Meeting and will be enforced.
17. NO HASSLE POLICY
Any rider or entrant or person associated with
the rider or entrant shall conduct themselves in an orderly manner. A rider
shall be responsible for his own conduct and that of any person with whom he is
associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens personally or physically any
official or any other person present at the event shall lie deemed to be in
Breach of this rule.
The Steward for a breach of this rule may
impose PENALTIES on the day of this meeting i.e.:
*Reprimand or warning.
*Fine.
*Expulsion from the meeting.
All breaches will be reported to MWA for
possible further action.
18. GENERAL RULES
18.1. No alcoholic beverages
allowed in pits or racing circuit.
18.2. Dogs will not be
permitted (except guide dogs).
18.3. Enclosed footwear must
be worn in the pits at all times.
18.4. NO scooters/pit bikes
permitted within the pits.
18.5. Open Pits will be in
effect for the day, Pitting can be done in the usual pit area at the centre of
the track or in the designated area at the west of the car park.
19. RIGHT TO USE IMAGE
It is a condition of entry that consent is given by the entrant/rider
and/or parent/guardian for all photographs and electronic images (including
moving images) that may be taken during the event by or on behalf of the
Promoter, or with permission of the Promoter. All such images are the property
of the Promoter and will only be used in accordance with the Motorcycling
Australia Member Protection Policy and for the purposes of promotional or other
purposes without further consent being required.
