MISSION BEACH RESORT Beachruns@Mission 2015

Join us for the Mission Beach Resort Beachruns@Mission and our first Cassowary Coast Cup.

EVENTS:

A half marathon, a 10km run and a 4km fun run/walk - all entirely on beaches with firm sand underfoot and the magnificent backdrop of Dunk Island and palm tree-lined beaches.

The MISSION BEACH RESORT HALF MARATHON is a scenic run along South Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and  Mission Beach and return. (There are two shallow tidal creek crossings.) Start time is 2:45 pm. 

The MACKAYS BANANAS 10KM CLASSIC is a run on South Mission Beach and part of Wongaling Beach and return (with a shallow tidal creek to cross). Start time is 3:45 pm.

The MISSION THAI 4KM FUN RUN/WALK is a non-competitive event (although we know some of you will race it regardless!). Going barefoot is encouraged. Start time is 4:30 pm.

The two longer events form our first CASSOWARY COAST CUP. This is for Cairns Roadrunners, Dynamic Running and Townsville Roadrunners members. Each club member means club points so bring all your friends! The minimum number of participants from clubs in each event determines the number of places which can gather multiple points. All finishers gain a single point for their club.

ENTRIES: 

Half Marathon & 10K Classic - $15 per entrant ($5 discount for CCMC members)

4KM Family Fun Run/Walk - $5 per entrant to maximum of $20 per family (CCMC members FREE and you do not need to register online)

Late registrations ($5 more than the above prices) will be taken up to 30 minutes before the start time for each event.


Placegetters in the Mission Beach Resort Half Marathon and the Mackays Bananas 10km Classic will receive prizes and there will also be random giveaways at the presentations.
