The Open/Elite Event at the Euston Grand Prix is a Draft Legal Event - therefore ITU rules apply and will commence as soon as the Age Group race ceases.
HANDELBARS(Open/Elite)
a) Only traditional drop handlebars permitted.
b) Clip-ons will be permitted provided they do not extend more than 15cm beyond the front wheel axle, and are not longer than the brake levers foremost line.
c) Straight forward clip-ons must be bridged, and not must not carry forward facing brake levers.
d) No forward facing bar or gear shifters are allowed on the end of clip-ons. The only exception will be grip shifters.
e) Elbow pads are permitted.
This category is open to Junior Elite. Format is a 700m swim, 8k ride, 2k run, 8k ride, 2k run
If you are unsure about entering this category - check with your L2 triathlon or cycling coach beforehand.
Normal Triathlon Australia rules will apply to the Age Group race and will be a non drafting event
