Introduction:

Date: Sunday 22nd March 2015

 

Time: 6am for 6.30am departure

 

Distance: 30 km

 

Category: Social community ride for developing cyclists, families and potential commuters.  We also welcome established cyclists who should sign up and encourage their budding cycling friends to participate in this event that has been created for them!

 

Start Location: Salter Point / Manning – exact location details will be provided to registered participants.

 

Cost: FREE for all registered participants.

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Participants must have a bike which is safe and has road worthy brakes and tyres
  2. We recommend a good visual footprint on the road and encourage participants to have a front and rear light for increased visibility.
  3. Australian standard Helmet is compulsory. No helmet no ride as this is the Road Rules.
  4. One water bottle for hydration along the way is required
  5. Participants must be able to balance and handle a bike and no training wheels are permitted.  This event is not suitable as a training session for beginner riders.
  6. You are to nominate an average speed capacity so that you can be seeded with other riders of similar capabilities.

 

 

Event Details:

 

  1. Participants will be provided with Directional Cue sheets for the 30 km route via email
  2. We will provide Ride Captains and Tail End Riders to support the teams.
  3. We will provide Safety vehicles at points where the bike pathways are accessible
  4. Perth Integrated Health Senior First Aiders will be on duty
  5. Safety vehicles will carry extra water for the ride.
  6. We will provide GPS enabled Bike computers with directional e-maps via email.
  7. We will provide a map via email.
