The Goldfields Double Century has returned, but it is not for the football fanatics. It offers a social weekend of riding on the last weekend of September. The route is Sunbury to Bendigo and back with overnight accommodation and an evening to swap stories of the day’s events. Rides start from the Sunbury Railway Station, which is accessible by car or trains. There is a choice of a 200 or 120km ride on the Saturday and a single distance of 130km on the Sunday for the return trip. The ride is unsupported but offers a bag-drop to carry a small overnight bag to Bendigo and return. Costs include Ride Fees, Bag Drop and Overnight Accommodation with linen and breakfast supplied. All other costs for food at controls and evening meal are at riders’ expense.

The course is on quiet country roads, undulating with some short steep hills and flat bits to roll along as well.
