2014 Australian Canoe Polo Development Camp

The Australian Canoe Polo Technical Committee encourages people from all over the country, and of any age and ability, to enjoy three days of intense training on and off water - in Adelaide. Players, coaches, officials and parents can improve knowledge and skills – and will help build on an already friendly and inclusive learning community. The camp comprises day and evening sessions. Players who are 13/14 years and over may benefit from attending all sessions. Younger players needs should be discuss with the organisers.
The Camp aim:
People will improve all aspects of player’s skills and learn official duties for managing competitions in a great time of training guided by Australia’s experienced coaches.
Participants will focus on personal goals. An emphasis includes longer-term goals of reaching elite ability. The camp is not to try canoe polo for the first time - attendees must have at least 6 hours of playing experience.
Transport, Accommodation and Catering:
- Travel to and from Adelaide is participants’ to organise, locals can help with transport around the city.
- Accommodation is participants’ responsibility but Adelaide residents will give guidance and some homestay may be negotiated (ask Angus).
- Meals, except breakfast, are in the cost structure (with thanks to volunteer caterers). Parent/guardians may pay a small fee to cover catering for them.
